What ploy does the gull use to build its nest on a cliffside? How is the shape of the eggs adapted to keep it from falling off? On the lookout of the Great Basin of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, discover the diversity of seabird species in this ecosystem and the ways in which they occupy various habitats to nest, protect themselves, rest and feed.

During the breeding season, several colonies of different species can be found here, taking advantage of these cold, food-rich waters to raise their offspring. These birds show their adaptation skills and adopt amazing behaviours that enable them to survive in this environment. This animated vignette is a great way to discover them, while breathing in the salt air!
